Mahogany Portobello Series

The mahogany Portobello series of doors and entryways offers an extensive selection with numerous options. 1-3/4" thick Portobello door and sidelite profiles are available in 6 foot 8 inch and 8 foot tall heights in 32", 36", and 42" wide door sizes. Standard sidelites are available in 12" and 14" widths matching both the 6’-8” and 8’-0” tall doors. Some 8’-0” tall mahogany Plank and single round top doors are also available in a 2-1/4" thick option. Matching transoms are available for most designs. Portobello doors feature 5 mm thick laminated (nominal), engineered stiles and rails to virtually eliminate warping, plus extra wide stiles, wide-raised moldings on the door exterior, and thicker raised door panels. Portobello door panels are constructed using a 3-piece assembly that incorporates a “cross-grained” spline in the core to eliminate panel splitting. Doors are assembled using an authentic doweled cove-and-bead technique.

 Knotty Alder Estancia Series

The knotty alder Estancia series doors are either 1-3/8" thick (6’-8" interior doors) or 1-3/4" thick (6’-8” or 8’-0” exterior doors and 8’- 0" interior doors), and are constructed using “engineered” stiles and rails to help prevent warping. Some 8 foot tall Plank doors are also available in a 2-1/4" thick option. These stiles and rails have a 5mm thick (nominal) laminate face, engineered stiles and rails to virtually eliminate warping, plus extra wide stiles, wide-raised moldings on the door exterior and a stave core made of solid alder wood. Door panels for the 1-3⁄4" thick doors are 1-1⁄8" thick, door panels for the 1-3/8” thick doors are 3/4” thick and are constructed using a 3-piece assembly that incorporates a “cross-grained” spline in the core to eliminate panel splitting. Doors are assembled using an authentic doweled cove-and-bead technique.

Mahogany Legacy Series

The Legacy Series is a “builders series” of economical mahogany doors, offering a more limited selection and fewer options than the Portobello series. With the exception of the 8 foot 2-Panel and 6-Panel Legacy doors, all other Legacy doors are 6 foot 8 inches tall by 36 inches wide. Like the Portobello and Estancia doors, all Legacy doors feature laminated, engineered stiles and rails, with raised moldings on the exterior side of the door, plus 3-layer engineered panels to prevent panel splits. Glass options for Legacy doors include Black and Satin Nickel metal came options. Sidelites and transoms are not available for Legacy Series doors.

The TDL "True Divied Lite" Series with Low-E Options

GlassCraft’s TDL “True Divided Lite” collection provides a selection of classic French doors and stylish Prairie and Craftsman doors — all with beautiful and rich woodgrains. The TDL Series of mahogany and knotty alder doors will complement a wide range of architectural styles. TDL doors in this catalog do not use simulated divided lites. The TDL doors feature double insulated, low emissivity “Low-E” glass panels for security, strength, and energy efficiency.
